Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-04
This policy explains what information FigureCrunch collects, what it does not collect, and why. The short version: the numbers you type into a calculator never leave your device.
Information we do not collect
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. When you enter a salary, a home price, an interest rate or a portfolio value, that data stays on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers, never written to a database, and never associated with you.
We do not ask you to register, we do not operate an email list tied to your calculations, and there is no form anywhere on this site that asks for your income, address or account numbers.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical information needed to serve pages and keep the site secure. This includes:
- IP address (usually truncated or anonymised before it reaches our logs).
- Browser type, operating system and screen size.
- The page requested, referring URL and timestamp.
- Aggregate usage statistics such as page views and approximate region.
Cookies and advertising
Advertising on FigureCrunch is served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — together with web beacons and similar technologies, to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet. This allows Google and its advertising partners to show advertising that is relevant to you, to limit how often the same ad is repeated, and to measure how ads perform.
Google and its partners may combine information collected here with information collected elsewhere to build interest categories for personalised advertising. Ad companies that are not part of Google’s network may also set cookies for the same purposes; those companies are represented by industry bodies such as the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative.
Nothing about advertising is required to use this site. Every calculator runs locally in your browser, each tool works exactly the same whether or not ads are shown, and refusing personalised advertising never blocks content, results or features.
For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google serves personalised advertising only where consent has been collected through a consent management mechanism, and otherwise serves non-personalised advertising. You can revisit or change that choice at any time through the consent controls presented on the page.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not receive personally identifiable information about you from Google — only aggregate reporting about views, clicks and earnings.
You can control interest-based advertising in several ways:
- Turn ad personalisation off, or review and update your choices, in Google Ads settings, which also lists Google’s advertising partners.
- Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
- Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, which Google honours for users covered by applicable US privacy laws.
- Block third-party cookies in your browser settings, which generally prevents ads from being personalised to you.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled, they are configured with IP anonymisation and are used only to understand which pages help people and which do not. We do not use analytics to build individual profiles, and we do not send analytics data combined with advertising identifiers.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what data is collected about you, request correction or deletion, opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and receive equal service regardless of your choices.
- California residents: rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of data sharing.
- Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia and other US states: similar access, correction, deletion and opt-out rights.
- EEA and UK residents: rights under GDPR, including objection to processing based on legitimate interests.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for adults making financial decisions and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact us and we will remove it.
Data retention and security
Server logs are retained for a limited operational period and then deleted. We use HTTPS on all pages and follow standard hardening practices including security headers, regular dependency updates and least-privilege access.
Third-party links
Some pages reference government sources such as the IRS or the Bureau of Labor Statistics. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be reflected by a revised date at the top of this page.
